This association was created to address specific issues stemming from the lack of enforcement of laws designed to ensure the well-being and empowerment of women and their children.

The association advocates for women’s rights in various areas, including:

  • Supporting women victims of violence and their children by helping them find protection and safety.
  • Combating all forms of violence against women, regardless of age (psychological, moral, physical, sexual, gender-based, economic, and other forms of violence), by denouncing violations of women’s rights and dignity, and by promoting the enforcement, amendment, or creation of relevant laws.
  • Preventing violence against women through advocacy for gender equality and the promotion of women’s roles in society.

Mininga Cameroon has carried out numerous actions, particularly in the Littoral, Centre, South, East, and Far North regions, by organizing awareness and education campaigns on violence against women and children, under the project named “Mouskounous.”
The association also supports the education of underprivileged children in public schools and high schools by providing complete school supply kits.
It contributes to the care of women suffering from illnesses such as cancer, by directing them to appropriate medical services, and it encourages women to find and maintain small jobs through the “Wake Up Women” project.
The association was founded on January 1, 2021, by its President, Mrs. Marie ABESSOLO. Its headquarters are located in Obang-Olamze, in the South Region of Cameroon.
